Bubba and the Dead Woman by C.L. Bevill

Bubba gets stuck working all night at a 24-hour gas and grocery and comes home to the shock of finding his ex-fiancee dead on his lawn. He ends up accused and arrested with the sheriff twisting the evidence to prove Bubba did it. Bubba sets out to prove his innocence and puts together the clues with many outlandish twists and turns in the process of finding the real killer.

Bubba and the Dead Woman is a funny and not very predictable delightful mind vacation. The only problem with the book is that it could use a good editor, particularly to edit out all the commas in the wrong places. The issues with commas and repeated or missing words got much better in the second half. Even with those problems, I recommend Bubba and the Dead Woman for anyone looking for a fun, quick read.
