Alexandra Fry Private Eye: Curse of the Lion’s Heart by Angella Graff

Alexandra Fry is just a normal 7th grader. Well, except for one thing. She sees ghosts and they ask her to find things lost things. When the ghost of Queen Elizabeth I shows up and says her cursed locket has been stolen and if it is not recovered a plague will begin, Alexandra embarks on her most dangerous mission yet. Along with her new friends Penelope and Jack (who has some secrets of his own), Alexandra tries to find the locket before it is gone forever and the sick people start dying.

Curse of the Lion’s Heart is a cute story. I wasn’t expecting the end to go quite how it did. It could use some light editing, however. I recommend it for middle schoolers.
