Carter and Ridge discover a spell to temporarily bring back people from the dead. The person can only stay for enough time to complete a specific task and cannot do anything other than what they were brought back to do. In Bezza’s Book of Enchantments , the first book, they bring back Nikolaus Kraft to help them with an oral report. I figured my 8- and 10-year-old boys would like it and I was totally right. They got really excited when they recognized two of the characters (from the Kilenya series). The story is very short and simple. It’s absolutely perfect for reading to kids or to give to an elementary schooler to read.
