Young Marian’s Adventures in Sherwood Forest by Stephen Mooser

Marian and Robin are best friends living in the shadow of the evil Sherriff of Nottingham. When a trick they play on the Sherriff backfires terribly and Marian’s father is arrested, they must find a way to prevent him from being hanged.

Marian is supposed to be an amazing role model in this book, but mostly I just found her to be annoying. It is very far off the Robin Hood stories. My 9- and 10-year-old boys said they liked the story okay. Young Marian’s Adventures in Sherwood Forest isn’t a total waste of time to read, but it’s not a must-read either.
