Squirrel Girl: 2 Fuzzy, 2 Furious by Shannon Hale

Squirrel Girl is back and fighting crime along with her Squirrel Scouts. Doreen, on the other hand, is still not quite sure how to handle middle school. Everything about the new mall points to Hydra, so Squirrel Girl, Ana Sophia, and Doreen’s squirrel friends are determined to stop them before it’s too late.

Squirrel Girl: 2 Fuzzy, 2 Furious is as cute as the first Squirrel Girl book, though not quite as funny (but still filled with humor). I read it to my 9- and 11-year-old sons for their bedtime story and they enjoyed it so much. I highly recommend it to kids and adults alike. It makes a good read-aloud, though it is a little difficult to read the text messages and message board postings out loud.
