After finding a mysterious trunk in his attic, Andy Smithson suddenly finds himself in the magical land of Oomaldee, a land cursed with eternal fog and a king who will never die. Andy is told he may be the one who is able to finally break the curse, but, first, he must get the scale of an adult male red dragon. Will all his time spent playing video games have prepared him for the battle?
I read Blast of the Dragon’s Fury to my 10- and 12-year-old sons and we all loved it! It’s funny and exciting. The end is a bit of a cliffhanger and the boys immediately told me I had to get the next book to read to them. I highly recommend it to upper elementary/middle school age kids. It’s makes a great read-aloud!
